PRE-PROCEDURE INFORMATION

All permeant cosmetic procedures are multi-session processes. You will need to come back for at least one follow-up visit. 

 

Be prepared for the color intensity of your procedure to be significantly sharper, brighter or darker that what is expected for the final outcome. It will take time for this transition, based upon how quickly the outer layer of your skin heals.

 

While cosmetic tattoo pigments may initially simulate the exact color and tone desired, they will not always remain a perfect match. Tattooed colors are constant, while your own skin color will vary depending on exposure to cold, heat, sun and circulatory changes. For example, if your tan your skin and had a scar camouflaged, your surrounding skin will be darker in appearance that the treated area.

 

Since delicate skin or sensitive areas may swell slightly or redden, some clients feel it is best not to make any social plans foe several days or weeks following any PMU procedure. It is always to avoid these procedures during the months prior to important life events, such as weddings. Procedures may take longer than expected to heal. 

 

For permanent makeup you may wear your normal makeup and/or bring your lip color or brow pencils to the studio on the day of your procedure. 

 

Special information for Brows; any tweezing or waxing should NOT be done at least 48 hours prior to the procedure, electrolysis no less than 5 days before the procedure. Any eyebrow tainting should be done no sooner that 48 hours before or two weeks after the procedure. 

 

Special information for Eyeliner; do not wear contact lenses during or immediately following the eyeline procedure. Remember to bring your glasses. You may resume wearing your contact lenses as soon as your eyes return to their pre-tattooed condition. If you are having eyeliner procedure done and use Latisse, you are not a candidate for eyeliner. Certain ingredients used in Latisse are not compatible with eyeliner tattooing. Any eyelash curling should be done no sooner than 48 hours before or at least two weeks after the lash tattooing. Due to extreme risk, if you are using eyedrops for glaucoma, you are not a candidate for eyeliner.

 

Special information for Lip Color; lips take color the best if they are well hydrated and in good condition. Drink plenty of water and condition with lip balm if necessary, prior to your procedure. If you are having lip procedures and have a history of cold score/fever blisters/herpes simplex, contact your physician to obtain the proper prescription to prevent an outbreak or keep outbreaks in check. Lip fillers should be done 6 to 7 weeks prior to tattooing. 

 

Refrain from the use of alcohol, aspirin, aspirin-containing medications and ibuprofen before PMU procedures. Refrain from judgment-altering drugs for at least 24 hours prior to any procedure. No medication should ever be discontinued without first talking with your physician. 

 

Many people find taking the supplement arnica for several day prior to tattooing reduces bruising. People have also found that the supplement Lysine helps with fever blister outbreaks. 

 

A skin test is offered upon request. Skin tests results are to be reviewed by you and your Doctor.
